About Grand Rhythms
Grand Rythms: Grand Rhythms a brief history of drum and guitar tracks laid down by Gordon Hyndman and Kim Nugent. Most of these “remixed” tracks are from 1992–93 live in the living room on a cheap 4 track Vestax recording machine. I digitized 2011–2012 using Audacity. Some of these tracks are relatively new such as Pheonix 5. One track, Sycopated Drips is a remix from a live recording made of kitchen taps dripping. While recording this, the dog came in for a munch on some kibble. Later this became difficult to reduce in the mix as I added some drum tracks. The drum tracks include my home made hand drums constructed from plastic pails as well as live kit. Vlads’ Pad contains some remixed sounds of thunder to add a touch and many other tracks have been shortened as these were jam sessions .
